GEEKART
I am once again "getting my geek on" at the
Art* Bar.
Lately, I have been fascinated with action figures still confined within their packaging. To me they represent sort of a surreal mirror that reflects today's society. Here we have superheros that are trapped in their plastic worlds, untouchable and unable to free themselves to actually get involved in the real world.
Some remain this way forever, to only be observed and never opened for interaction.
Paralleling that we sit behind our computers and press "like" buttons, make a comment or two, and feel that somehow we have done our part to make this world a better place and yet no physical interaction has taken place.
I call this series,
Superman Where Are You Now?
